On the night of April 15, 2026, Dnipro was attacked by the enemy. As a result of a direct hit by a drone, the buildings of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Prydniprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, which is a participant in the international project VETpartEx – “Future-oriented professional education for the construction sector of Ukraine”, were damaged. The historical building of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Prydniprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture”, which is an object of cultural heritage, was damaged. The construction of the building began in May 1930, and a significant part of the work was performed by the students and teachers themselves. Construction was completed in 1931–1932. For decades, this building formed an educational space for generations of engineers and architects. As a result of the explosion, the roof was destroyed, the supporting structures were damaged. The assembly hall was completely destroyed, the premises of the academic council, the department of architecture, computer classrooms and classrooms suffered significant destruction. In total, about 1,500 m² of the roof was damaged, and windows and doors on an area of about 2,500 m² were broken. This attack took place during the days of mourning for the dead Dnipro people after the previous attack, which further increased the sense of loss and injustice.
